Did you that in an average family, it costs $266,698 to raise a child til their 18 and for their first year of college?
Compare that to the $900 of an abortion.

MEAT is Murder. NOT Abortion.
© pregnancy.org
This is what a fetus looks like in the first trimester.
I think the problem with so many people single-minded about abortion is that they think its murder. They think its murder because they are ill informed.
When most abortions occur, the fetus looks little more than a sea monkey. Or, to quote a friend of mine, "It looks like a lizard!"
There are to LEGAL forms of abortion; in clinic, and medication. Both are safe, legal, and effective.
No, a crazy doctor does NOT reach up your uterus and slice the umbilical chord of a fully grown baby, then leave them writhing on a cold metal table to die.
There are several things wring with this; It would probably kill the mother, the fetus is not developed, and it does not even have an umbilical chord.
There's also the morning after pill, taken after sex prevents pregnancy from occurring.
ABORTION. IS. NOT. MURDER.
Sorry crazy single-minded pro-lifers.

Going Against the Man
Stupid school computer, blocking all my abortion and pro choice searches. You can't silence us!
Woman get abortions for many, many reasons, most of which we don't realize.
Young girls and woman, teens, etc who have abortions do so for many reasons. For teens, they might not be able to support a baby, and they probably aren't ready to be mothers, anyway. And sometimes, they are concerned that the baby would change their life, or would alter the baby's life if brought up in the state.
Woman get abortions to end unwanted pregnancies. Sometimes a fetus is the result of failed birth control (The condom tore, she skipped a day on the Pill, abstinence epic fail, 'You can't just get pregnant from one time!' etc.)
And other times, woman are victims of rape or incest.
Do you really want to take away a woman's right to free her self from the horror? If abortion is banned than a pregnant rape victim is stuck with an awful reminder of what happened to her. She could try killing the baby, or dumping it in the trash. Or she could come depressed. She has to wake up to the screaming thing that shouldn't even be there.
Do you want to take away a woman's right to freedom?

Population.
This graph (Data from United Nations and Bureau of Census, graph from booksaboutthefuture.com) shows how much the world population has risen. And it will continue to rise, and if abortion is made illegal that number will rise faster. On September 30, 2005, there were an estimated 513,000 children in foster care in the US. (www.childwelfare.gov) The amount of abandoned and unwanted children is also growing, because the mothers aren't ready for children. Birth control and abortion clinics must be available to all woman everywhere.

The Argument
Abortion.
The government does not have the right to interfere with a woman's right to discontinue her pregnancy. In many cases, a woman doesn't have a choice. The fetus could develop a defect, mental and physical disabilities. And, yes, an unborn child isn't a baby. It's a fetus.
It does not breathe, it floats around in its mother's womb, living in her, growing. It is not yet a person.
So, why is abortion considered murder?
In many cases, religion teaches people that every life is sacred and murder is bad, blah, blah blah.
But a fetus isn't a person. By having an abortion, you're not killing anyone.
Sometimes a woman has an abortion to save her own life. Sometimes, she can not afford to take care of a child, and in some cases, she is raped and becomes pregnant. The government--nobody--has the right to take away abortion. If abortions are made illegal, one thing that could happen is the rise of back alley abortions. Boyfriends beating the crap out of their girlfriend to kill whatever was living in her. Violence. Death.
Abortion is a woman's life, a woman's choice. Keep abortion safe and legal.
